Do you read the genre you write? Why or why not?

I write Christian fiction romance and it’s my favorite genre to read. It is a natural fit for me because I’m a Christian and I enjoy reading romantic stories. Above all, I get the wonderful opportunity to see the awesome power of God in the lives of the characters.

What is the most valuable piece of advice you’ve been given about writing?

The most valuable piece of advice I received was to benchmark against the best in the area of my writing assignment, but nevertheless, be a trendsetter. Also, I should write so that readers feel like they are a part of the story or watching the story play out.

Do you participate in writing challenges on social media? Why or why not?

I participate in writing challenges when the time permits. I enjoy sharing my knowledge and learning from other authors. True too, I like the social interaction.
